Educated by Tara Westover: A stunning memoir depicting the authors upbringings in rural Idaho and her struggles on a path that has resulted in an Ivy League education and more importantly, freedom.

A Promised Land by Barack Obama: The President's Memoir on his early life and first term as President, with collected thoughts on many issues. As a history fanatic the perspective of a President so thoroughly recorded is a great read (and listen as an audiobook!)
